Biography
Nishad’s own films run from shorts to features. Ek Choti Si Ego (2019), which he wrote and directed with Mona Singh and Iqbal Khan, has been watched more than eleven million times; Death Penalty (2021) he wrote, directed and produced himself; and he produced the 2021 feature Woh Pehli Baar. Yes I Am Secular, which he is directing, is in post-production.
He has been acting since 2005, and audiences will know the face from Jazbaa (2015), Raees (2017), The Man Who Feels No Pain (2018), Marjaavaan and Bard of Blood (2019), and the series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and Bandish Bandits.
His filmmaking puts strong concepts, character-driven stories and practical execution first. He is directing File Number 36, with more projects in the pipeline.
